Mum died yesterday morning, on Thursday 6th September, 2007. She was almost 89. No words can sum up all that a mother means to her children, but the words written below try to explain how very special mothers are to us all:

Some men have done great and wonderful things for the world, through their inventions and discoveries, art and literature. They have improved all our lives, and their names are written on the pages of world history.
For the mothers of the world, their names rarely appear on these pages, but their deeds are etched invisibly across the face of the Universe, and when a family loses its mother, the very fabric of the Universe is changed forever.
